I feel... Funny...

Okay, well, it's almost 7 in the morning, and I am dead tired because I've been awake since yesterday morning. I was pondering over many videos, when I stumbled upon this... Animation. I can't say that I wasn't shocked at it, because I was extremely shocked at it... It was so mind-numbingly awful, and yet I couldn't look away, which made it strangely good... I fell so mindblown at this moment that I don't know what to say other than the graphics are less than decent... But this is a pretty old animation... The style was definitely your own. Unique and original. The voice acting wasn't to great, but once again, it's pretty old. Violence... It shows, (and has disgusting audio of,) a vampire sucking blood out of a guy that he had been talking to... Interactivity, it had some buttons... It wasn't funny, but it was mildly humorous at some points. I don't know if it's my computer, but this animation was very long, and somewhat drawn out... But that added to it. Good work sir.

Haha...

I got a good laugh from it. A really good laugh. I also liked the Pulp Fiction style opening that it had. That was pretty great.

...

Well, let me say a few things. First off, that song didn't really match the animation at all. Second, stick figure animations should be left to the pros or the incredibly funny. Third, you have no copyright on that, because there is copyrighted material in it, jackass. Fourth, it's REM, not Rem. Last, get more experience before submitting something, and, as always, try harder next time.

Hey...

I really liked it. Plus, I like your attitude. You present yourself with confidence. I hate it when someone submits something that isn't the longest or the best animation, and they call it shitty and stuff like that. Great work, but it was just missing something. If you want to see what I mean, just look at my ratings on it.
Thank you for the ONLY enjoyable animation that I've seen tonight.

Wow. Thanks, I always think that when someone calls their work crap and stuff, they're basically just giving an open invitation to have people give cruel reviews. Thanks for the review

Woah...

The whole thing seemed extremely satisfying... But then, at the end, that still image of Clocktopia destroyed... I don't know, it was kind of sad in a way. I guess when you know something for so long that even if you hate it, it kind of has developed a sentimental value. Haha... Or maybe it's just the headache, I don't know. Very good movie.

Hmm...

Would've been better if it had had better graphics, but I am kind of sad about Pluto too... Who's to say that ice can't be a planet?!

By the way, your retort, it doesn't make much sense. Think about it. Much would become mquch... Uma would become Quma, and Quentin... Well, that would stay the same... But I think you get the point.

I'm gonna poor out a 40 oz. for my ex-planets now. Later.

TheTy responds:

haha. as i said to an earlier review, i made this in 2.5 hours. i was racing the clock (for no real reason)

i know my retort is illogical i was just upset jeesh.

Shqut yoqur moquth :)

thanks

Well...

First off, for being so short, it was too big of a file. It seems that you didn't optimize the sound.
Next, the graphics weren't that good. Kind of scratchy, that may be your style, but that's not a style that appeals to me.
Third, it's too short.
Fourth, it's not that funny. It had strong presentation, and a very high potential, but you just didn't do it as well as you could've. Suspense to the joke would've been better, like, show them getting on the elevator, show her light up the cigarette, etc.
Finally, the message isn't as good as you'd probably have liked. No matter how much you drive it into a smoker's head that it's not good for them, a comedic message will not inspire a change of heart.
Try harder next time.

Constructive...

Not Destructive Criticism? At first I was like, "Alright, this dude wants me to rip on him SO hard!" But then I noticed it was Con, not De, so I rephraned from writing a blasphemis review... (By blasphemy, I mean, it goes against my love of Zelda to write anything wrong for no reason about it.)
So, to begin with, the preloader. Simple, yet effective. Problem though. The music is very abrupt, and uncontrollable. Good music? Yes. Maybe put a button in there to not completely kill my flash experience for a few minutes, though, because I was unable to watch anything with sound... luckily, I was caught up in a soundless blammable animation, so it didn't hurt anything. That's just a thought though.
The rest of it... Also very abrupt... I didn't know what to do for like, a minute. I was waiting and waiting for it to do something. SO I hovered the mouse over link, and realized that I need to click to see the next thing. Not good...
All graphics other than the sprites need heavy reworking. When I saw the name, I thought that maybe a newer graphics link would fight older graphics link. That would've been good.
Good concept though. Needs a lot of work. More sound would be good. More aesthetics to your backgrounds would also be good. Maybe you should find better graphics instead of drawing them. Just a thought.
It's okay, it's worthy of staying on the portal, but that's pretty much it. You need to get better. Try harder next time.

RyuXKen responds:

thank you so much for your review. About the abruptness, thats sorta the style of my flash videos, but i will take that into account. The buttons i though were pretty self explanitory, but i will also take that into account. I like the idea of old link fighting new link, but before i do that i need to improve my animation and drawing skills as mensioned much before! I will try harder next time, although i tried pretty hard this time, and i WILL get better, just wait and see! thanx again =)

Where to begin?

I really liked your animation. There are some problems though.

First off, (as others have said,) the voices, and the way you showed who was speaking sucked. Really bad. Consult some voice actors or something.

Second, you could develop the plot more.

Third, and most important, don't use the publish feature on flash to export your animation. Use the EXPORT feature. (File>Export>Export Movie) It'll come up with a list of things to do, pretty basic though, you can just leave the settings on it alone and export it like that.

Fourth, I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Well...

I guess it looses the effect without the music; I woud've rated this a 10 overall if you had had music. Next time, try setting it to load the music from an external library (a website somewhere) and then make it load the URL. It will eliminate the barrier for filesize on here, and it will keep your music. A win/win situation. (btw-it's kind of just a theory of mine, I'm not sure if it works, because I've never had the resources to try it, but it seems like it would.)
